Rakatu Chambers opened in January 2025. Between 3 and 4 Barristers keep their Nelson offices here, with a shared meeting/AVL room, and open-plan work and meeting spaces as well.

Access is by appointment only. Rakatu Chambers is on Level 1, 12 Malthouse Lane. The best parking is along Riverside. Rakatu is also accessible on foot along the walkways behind Fresh Choice (Bridge and Collingwood Streets).

Rakatu Wetlands is a 278 ha private conservation area located on the flood plain of the Lower Waiau River. Fiordland National Park forms the western backdrop to the wetland. This is a special place for Emma Riddell and her family, and it felt like a fitting name for the Chambers' ambitions of growth and restoration, whatever the challenges ahead.
